Hi everyone. First let me say thanks for joining the newsletter group! Response to the new site has been amazing. People really seem to like the approach and media files the most. I've also gotten some nice words on the layout, which I've tried to keep simple, yet effective. I really appreciate it all! I hope to keep this thing going until this case gets reopened and solved once and for all.

Like I said when you signed up, you'll only get messages every now and then when there's stuff to say, so here we go with the first edition, or whatever you'd like to call it.

NEW STUFF ON THE SITE
I revised the Kurt & Courtney film review. More information is now available and video clips from some of the interviews are now linked to it. I also added a new video clip of Broomfield's interesting phone calls with one of his finacial backers, that claimed Courtney Love was trying to get them drop funding - even going as far as getting the head of MTV Networks to put pressure on them after she called and "raised holy hell". I think this clip will help people that are new to the case understand just how far this woman has gone, and how much power she really has with the mainstream media.

A new "Letters" section is now available. Not sure how I'll organize it down the line, but I'll be putting up some interesting feedback I get from visitors down the line. So far, there's only one letter there from a woman named Margaret who wrote over the weekend. A very good letter, with some good points about "true" Nirvana fans and musicians in general.

I also whipped up an animated "Flash Intro" for the site, but decided not to use it. I think people getting hit with the information as soon as they enter the the site probably has the best effect. Simple, and straight to the point. However, I put up the intro anyway for anyone reading this newsletter that would like to check it out. It's not linked on the site, so nobody can see it but you :) Maybe I'll find a use for it someday.

KURT COBAIN TRIBUTE SCREEN SAVER
I created a Kurt Tribute screen saver for the Windows operating system over the weekend. It's got lots of good images, transitions, and "Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam" playing in the background. You can download it from the link below. Please give it a good rating on the download sites if you like it.

More little things like that will be available down the line. While it's a good quality screen saver, I'm also using it as a promotional tool. Each one has the link to the site in it and a "Read Me" file enclosed that briefly talks about the case. People who download it can check the site out if they choose to. I think it's a good way to get Nirvana/Kurt fans who download the screen saver but might not be aware of the Tom Grant investigation to take a look. Hopefully it'll work. Coming from a software development background, I think it will. :)

PROMOTION PROMOTION PROMOTION
The site is slowing being added to all the major search engines. It's already listed at MSN, Excite, Hotbot, iWon, and About.com. It actually cost me 25 bucks to get into most of those. Well worth the money though. Still waiting on Google and Yahoo to get around to adding the site to their database. They're the biggest, but also the slowest and it could take weeks, or even months to get in there.

So I can't say enough how much I appreciate all the people that have put Justice For Kurt banners or links on their site! Each one helps! Thanks to those that have also placed the URL of the site within the "Comments" section of their their Nirvana MP3 files on the various file sharing networks. What a great way to get the link out! A few people have even mentioned the site while signing various Nirvana related guestbooks. Awesome! Please keep it up. You all rule!

A friend of mine who runs a couple massive celebrity sites which pull in a lot of traffic, has also given me some free advertising by putting up some banners! The main site is called Celebrity Desktop, and the ads can be seen on the Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Hole (haha) sections.

The screen saver I whipped up is also linked there as well. It's a great site if you'd like to download cool celebrity wallpapers, themes, buddy icons, and skins of various celebrities, and musicians for your computer. While you're there, grab some more Nirvana stuff that other people have made. It's huge, and I really appreciate that exposure.

INSTANT WEBSITES
A new feature is coming which I'm calling (for lack of a better term) "Instant Websites". Basically I'm making some mini sites with case information, documents, audio and video clips available for download soon. They're for anyone who wants to put up a site about this, but doesn't have the time or the HTML skills to get started. More information can be found on this section of the site:

I'm hoping to drown out some of the sites out there that have incorrect information, or just slander Courtney Love. I don't think those types of sites help new people take the case seriously enough to look into it more. Most come off as finding almost any reason to dislike the woman. Even though they're probably all true, stuff like that can still backfire.

COMING SOON
There are a few more video and audio clips I'd like to digitize and put up. Those should be up in the next few days. Mostly some stuff from the Kurt & Courtney movie and another radio show or two.

Flyers in different languages for supporters in other countries should start to become available by the end of the month if all goes according to plan.

My To-Do list is HUGE, so I'll let you all know about other projects and more stuff as it becomes available.
