JUSTICE FOR KURT NEWSLETTER - APRIL 22ND 2002
http://www.justiceforkurt.com
SITE NEWS
The site is doing better than I expected, thanks to the various
promotional tactics I mentioned in the last newsletter, as well as
word of mouth. Things took a nice jump a couple weeks ago when
someone posted the link on the message board of the popular Nirvana
Fan Club site. A day later, someone posted it over on the Hole.com
forums. I think that post got pulled really quickly though, as I
never saw it. lol. Anyway, the site will be a month old on April
28th, and according to my server stats, it's already done over 4,000
unique visits. Thanks to everyone who helped make that happen
NEW STUFF ON THE SITE
1. Discussion Forums are now available! A message board or something
was always in the plans when I was sketching out the site, but I
held off on it after seeing the kind of crap that went on over at
Grant's board. Sadly, his only lasted about a month or two.
Hopefully the same wont happen here. I've got some rules and tools
in place to keep the morons in check.

Anyway, feel free to discuss the investigation, media coverage,
theories, and other stuff there. You're also free to post questions
if you don't understand something. If you don't think Kurt was
murdered, then mature debates are welcome.
A link to the forums is now available on every page on the site. You
can't miss it. :) Please sign up and participate.
2. RealMedia versions of the audio and video files are now available
in the Audio & Video section.
http://www.justiceforkurt.com/multimedia/
For now, they'll only be available there and not throughout the
site. Windows Media is still my streaming media of choice, just
because they're smaller, and more efficient. However, I'd like to
make them accessible to the few that either don't have or care to
use the Windows Media player, so choice is a good thing.
3. Added a new Help Wanted/Contribute page to the site. If you've
got anything on this list, or can help out in any way, let me know!
Right now, I'm trying to load the site up with as much media
coverage as possible.

4. Courtney Love Crazy? "Claiming that Courtney Love
is "incapacitated," the surviving members of Nirvana want a
Seattle judge to order Kurt Cobain's widow to undergo a
psychiatric examination in connection with the court fight raging
over control of the grunge band's legacy. Citing a
unique "incapacity" provision in a Nirvana partnership
agreement, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic filed this April 11 motion
in King County Superior Court seeking to have Love examined by a
shrink. Cobain's widow last year filed suit against Grohl and
Novoselic to terminate Nirvana L.L.C., the 1997 partnership formed
by the trio to administer future group business."

5. Added a section called Heavier Than Heaven? - By Carolynn
Acierno, which looks at some of the discrepancies in the Heavier
Than Heaven - A Biography of Kurt Cobain book by Charles Cross.

Also, check out Carolynn's site dedicated to the case, and sign her
guestbook!

6. How bad are (or were) the Seattle police? Check out this
interesting Seattle Times article from a couple years ago:
http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis.cgi/web/vortex/display?slug=brod&date=19991104
"It's what has been going on behind the scenes at the SPD that is so
unsettling."
7. More updates can be seen on the News & Updates page on the site.
I've been pretty busy the past couple weeks.
