SPENT SHOTGUN SHELL LOCATION
The police reports say that the shotgun was inverted with the trigger and magazine trap door pointing up (Follow-Up Report, Page 3). That would place the Ejection Port of the gun (where the shell pops out after the weapon is fired) to Kurt's right. If he shot himself with the shotgun facing this direction, the shell should have been found to his right. Why was it found to his left, on his Corduroy jacket?
CONTENTS OF KURT'S POCKETS
"Dr. Hartshorne examines the contents of the victim's pockets and notes that there is $63.00 in cash and a piece of note paper with "Seattle Guns, 145 & Lake City written on it. In the left front pant pocket there is an address book, miscellaneous papers, and another note paper with read "Remington 20 gauge, 2 3/4 shells or shorter, set of for light shot, 10888925. Also in the pants pocket was a copy of the Delta plane ticket, #788F. dated 4/1/94, seat 2F, in the name of Cobain/Kurt." (Follow-Up Report, Page 4)
CONTENTS OF CIGAR BOX
"The cigar box contained narcotics paraphernalia (syringes, burnt spoons, cotton, and small pieces of what looks like black tar)." (Follow-Up Report, Page 3)
"SUICIDE" NOTE LOCATION
"One of the stainless trays contains a pile of dirt with bulbs in it. On top of this dirt pile is a note written in red ink and stuck into the dirt pile with a red pen. This is a suicide note directed to Courtney and Frances and signed Kurt Cobain." (Follow-Up Report, Page 2)
According to page 54 of Hank Harrison's Beyond Nirvana book:
"G.S., who happens to be a journeyman electrician with no alcohol or drugs or criminal record in his background, also reports that a note was clearly visible by the body, so clear that he could read: "I Love You... I Love You" through the french windows. When the details filtered out to the press it seemed as if Kurt had placed the note in a planter box with a pen stuck through it. In reality the police photographer moved it across the room to get a better shot of it and failed to photograph it in it's exact original position near the body."
MISCELLANEOUS DETAILS
Kurt's wallet was found closed. Officer Levandowski exposed the drivers license to verify identification. (Follow-Up Report, Page 3). Reports that Kurt did this himself before he allegedly shot himself so someone could identify him, are false.
"Inside the jacket pocket is a receipt for the purchase of the Remington 20 gauge shotgun serial #1088925." (Follow-Up Report, Page 3).
