Dear [media personality, producer of show, other media contact], I believe a great injustice might have been committed in the case of Kurt Cobain. Mr. Cobain was the lead singer of a popular group from Seattle called Nirvana. They achieved a mass amount of popularity in 1991, and gained millions of fans around the world. He is survived by a young daughter named Frances, and his wife Courtney Love. The official story from the Seattle police department is that he took his own life, however there are a lot of unanswered questions and inconsistencies with this. A California state licensed private investigator named Tom Grant, who was hired by Cobain's wife to try and locate him the week before his death, strongly believes foul play was involved. Based on information he has gathered, he also believes his wife had something to do with it. According to Mr. Grant, this information was taken to the Seattle police department a week after Cobain's death, only to be ignored. Since 1994, quite a few magazine and newspaper articles have been written on this information. It has also been the subject of many radio and television shows. A book entitled "Who Killed Kurt Cobain? The Mysterious Death of an Icon" was published in 1998. It was mentioned in a 1998 film about the couple called "Kurt & Courtney". The internet has also helped get this information out with sites like cobaincase.com, Tom Grant's homepage on his investigation, and justiceforkurt.com. I feel Mr. Grant's information has gone ignored and suppressed long enough by the Seattle police and the media. I'm writing you in hopes for your help to press for a reexamination of Mr. Cobain's death. Millions of fans around the world would like to see the inconsistencies surrounding the death cleared up once and for all. It is sad to think that an injustice of this nature can be allowed in the United States. Thank you for your time. The case I am referring to is that of Kurt Donald Cobain. The Seattle Police Department ruled this a suicide, however, the evidence suggest something much different. I noticed that the Seattle Police Department did not investigate this case properly and will not admit that. There is sufficient evidence that they did not investigate it properly nor in the time period they should of. We are a country that believes in justice and justice should be awarded to any American who should have it. It troubles me to see that we can just write off someone's life because it may be more work to investigate it. Please reopen this case. I understand you are a busy man I would just ask for you to read the information I have found and see if we could get the case reopened for investigation. I am not asking you to put anyone in jail or blame anyone for the crime just to have the crime investigated properly and concluded properly. There is evidence of foul play and the Seattle police department really just doesn't want to admit they did not investigate this properly. This could be any of our sons. And everyone deserves justice. I am sure that if this case is reopened, investigated and still the same results that the people will feel more secure with the justice system in Seattle than for the state to ignore it.
